Activity and Adventure on your Algarve holiday

There’s a reason people go back to the Algarve year after year. The warm climate, the beautiful beaches and hidden coves, the delicious food and laid back atmosphere keep tourists happy on their holidays. For some holiday makers however, lounging on the beach just isn’t enough because they’re in search of some action!
With an abundance of activities available on your Algarve holiday, you might not have any time for the beach!
Take to the skies
What better way to get fantastic views of the Algarve’s beautiful coastline than soaring by in a microlite plane. A microlite is essentially a hang glider with a small engine, so you can be in the sky for longer. The clear skies of the Algarve will allow you to see for miles, making the adrenaline rush all the better.
If you’re feeling even more adventurous why not try sky diving, taking in the beaches, green countryside and crystalline sea as you float down to the ground will be the ultimate calming experience after the buzz of jumping out of a plane!
Make a splash
Why not do a spot of underwater exploration? The clean and clear waters make scuba diving a fantastic activity on your Algarve holiday. With spectacular caves and shipwrecks to discover, a scuba diving adventure is a perfect day trip, it might even be the start of your new favourite hobby.
If you don’t fancy getting your hair wet, try a kayaking trip. The magnificent caves and scenery of the coastline offer the perfect paddle playground. To see the best sights, head out with a guide and you’ll have an unforgettable experience.
Off the beaten track
Head to the cliffs for a great adventure on your holiday in Algarve, rock climbing will give you a chance to explore new regions away from the beach. Work up a sweat as you clamber up sea cliffs, it’ll be well worth it when you’re rewarded with the view from the top.
Not fancy going up the hill? Hire a mountain bike and roll down them. The Algarve offers some beautiful scenery and mountain biking is the perfect way to see it. Visit scenic fishing villages or secluded beaches, the beauty of mountain biking is the freedom it offers.
